About C&D
Conservation and Development -- Conservation and Development (C&D) is an Ecuadorian nonprofit citizens' group that carries out research and integrated conservation and development projects in rural communities. C&D's philosophy is to promote respect for life and the correct use of natural resources. We conduct research into new alternatives that seek to achieve a model for ecologically balanced and socially just sustainable development, either independently or in support of governmental or private initiatives. C&D has developed the certification standards for the SmartVoyager program through several years of research.
