The Apache Software Foundation has just begun its reorganization from the Apache Group to a not-for-profit corporation. We are busy setting up the connections among our existing projects and exploring opportunities for new projects. This page lists the important events that have occurred along the way.

1999, June 30: Press release announcing the incorporation of the Apache Software Foundation.

1999, June 1: The Apache Software Foundation is officially incorporated within the State of Delaware.
