What is NetIP

NetIP = Network Information Protection.

Ok... so what is the difference between "computer security" and "information protection"?  Essentially, the difference is one of scope.   Computer security generally deals with the securing of computers and the information that is on them.  By contrast, information protection deals with protecting information regardless of the medium... weather it is on a computer, traversing a network, stored in a file cabinet, or thrown in a dumpster.

The NetIP Mailing List

NetIP is also the sponsor of the "NetIP Security Mailing List".  This is a low volume high quality mailing list about happening within the security/information protection community.

By low volume, we mean monthly.  On or about the first of every month, you will recieve a newsletter message intended to keep you up to date on the latest information.

Please note that the mailing list service we are using guarentees not to sell your E-mail address to anyone!  They also store your address in a hashed form on their server to preven "address harvesting".  Every effort has been made to protect your privacy.
