303.org and sekurity.org Hacking Incident Summary ------------------------------------------------- skillz.303.org was hacked by unknown intruders. After investigation, and chatting with various people (including someone Bronc swore had *died* because of my actions), it was found that Bronc was one of the people involved. It is unsure who else was helping him, but it is known that Carolyn had knowledge of the attacks. The following are summaries I put together showing relevant system logs, and the mail sent about each one. It is interesting to note that none of Bronc's upstreams, nor Carolyn's upstreams were willing to help me, or look into it further. To give a VERY brief outline of all the shit that went behind this.. For almost two weeks, Bronc tried to convince many people that Deprave (Colin) was killed in a car wreck. Bronc maintained that Colin's actions were directly related to me "narcing" him to the FBI, and that I was responsible for Colin's death. A few weeks after all of this, I had a nice two hour chat with Colin who was (like I had originally maintained) alive and well. Colin confirmed that Bronc (Eric) was behind the three attacks on skillz.303.org, including them malicious RMing of over half the server, as well as responsible for the two attempted hacks on obscure.sekurity.org He verified that he did give Eric the login/pw to his account on obscure, and that was the original intrusion point for Eric. Eric, not knowing much about unix or hacking, was not able to gain any greater privs on the system, so he mailed out a copy of /etc/passwd to prove he had "hacked" the box. One of the first people he gave a copy to was Carolyn, who mailed it to me bragging. You will note in her mail she claims anyone could have made the passwd file by reading various mail from sekurity users, but that is outright bullshit. The last user in that passwd file was created hours before the attack. There is also no way to guess which system accounts were there, and which UIDs they had. Bronc did the hack.. Carolyn knew about them. I created summaries for the 2nd and 3rd attack on 303.org, as well as the two attacks on sekurity.org ...
