Subject: [ SECURITY ALERT ] Crashing FTP Serv-U 2.5

May 5, 1999 - NTSD - Arne Vidstrom discovered a bug in FTP Serv-U 2.5
that allows an intruder to easily crash the server by sending a
certain string of characters to the server in conjunction with
an FTP command.

Rob Beckers, author of FTP Serv-U, has quickly corrected the problem
and released a new beta version of the popular software.

Please visit the following URL, where you'll find the complete details
of the bulletin, along with a link to the new beta of FTP Serv-U.
