Jouko Pynnonen reported[2], through iDEFENSE, a vulnerability[3] in the plugin mechanism which allows remote attackers to bypass the Java sandbox through the use of javascript. SOLUTION It is recommended that all java users upgrade their packages. IMPORTANT: it is necessary to restart the internet browser after the upgrade if it was already running during the upgrade. Note: the sun-java2-javasrc and sun-java2-demo packages, present in our unsupported "extras" repository, have also been updated.
