Subject: Missed the 2nd part number

Hi Lorna - the part number correction for the Samtec sell sheet was made
on the back but not the front. I caught this going to print. Please make
the change on the front as well as send me another high and low res set.

In the Samtec part number there is no space in the DH portion. Again,
the back is correct.

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim!

I went ahead and made the correction to the front of the sell sheet, but
caught something else right before sending back... have you ever noticed
that the tiger on the front of the Samtec web site looks, well, a bit
fruity? They have elevated terminals, flex jumpers... and a gay fruity
tiger in a sailor uniform on there. I'm glad I'm (insert job here)
instead of a web designer. :)

I took out the space as you asked, and the back looks ok too, but not as
good as yours... ;)

Talk soon!

Lorna xoxo

Hmmm - have you seen my back ... ? Can't remember ... :)

If you want to laugh - check this link out at You Tube. This is there
marketing department gone insane. The Men in Orange is about the worst
thing I have seen that trashes a brand. When I saw it I was mortified
that somehow they mentioned us.

Oh - I need the files you modified.

Cheers

Tim

I thought you sent a picture, maybe it was another one of those "marketing
guys", lol

The link is funny... are you sure they didn't just make the name up and
got lucky somehow?

Working on the files, might send something extra along with them. :)

That's funny -- I think a lot of marketing guys have pics of their backs
laying around ... almost required.

The link was forwarded by one of our guys who got it from Samtec. They
wanted our logo! I freaked and sent everyone a blast saying that all use
of our name, logo, product needs to be cleared by legal. Hajeck would go
nuts if we were positioned next to a cross dresser. Yikes.

Send me something good ... :)

Tim

As long as they're clean! The backs, not the pictures... lol

I don't really know Hajeck that well, just an occasional mention once in a
while. It's probably better to be safe than sorry, though. Any good
stories to share?

And you'll have to define "good", mister. ;)

Hajeck is a good guy --a little over the top on fit, form and function.
When we were launching the new version of the site, I was taking extra
spaces out between periods / sentences in pop up boxes that were about 9
pt type and buried in the site. That was at 4AM while going live!

So - from a world of full justification on any doc, required
comprehensive knowledge of hyphens, dashes and objects of prepositions
in sentences, to logos that print clean on the worst printer we have --
putting our brand next to a cross dresser is like having the KKK use
Obama in an ad or something.

Good? - Some good source code or something ... what else could I
possibly want.

Cheers
Tim

That sounds horrible. If I'm not tucked in and dead to the world by
midnight, I might as well either take the next day off or find original
ways to amuse myself at my desk the next day.

Remind me my why I'm laying out these documents instead of just laying out
on my couch? lol

Considering the programmers I know are home on their computers and not at
work, what else would you want?

What are you laying out - just change one dash on our side of the sell
sheet????

Done

I have it corrected on the artwork for printing. Need the new files for
internal.

I will think of something ... been having a dark chocolate fit all day.

Cheers
Tim

OK, I think I have it. Anything else before I finish it off?

Tell me about it. I'm trying this low-fat chocha mocha thing, just isn't
doing it for me. Maybe I should have tried vanilla... ;)

This was just the removal of a single dash ... a 5 second exercise. Are
we on the same page?

I would say not.

Are you absolutely sure you've been emailing the right person?

Unless her last name is "Yger"...

Might want to check your address book.

I have no idea how you got into my address book - but you seem like you
are familiar with us.

Who are you anyway?

Not familiar with you at all. You emailed me last night, calling me
Lorna, I was about 6 beers down, and here we are.

So how's that project coming along?

Well- quite odd.

Just spoke to the real Lorna and we are fine.

Cheers
