Subject: RSS feeds

Hi Lyger,

In bracing for the inevitable ass-poundings, let me just say that the new rss feeds are great,
this is way cool, and I can only imagine the sleepless nights that could have been avoided if
I'd been able to plug these feeds into my favorite newsreader (Google) ages ago.

That said, all or most of the other cool kids' sites have rss feeds that include a summary or
all of the bloody content from the link. I know, what a whiney little bitch I'm being. Boo Hoo,
look at what the other rss feeds have. Fuck Them and their donkeys! I know, I know.

I'm not worthy.

Anywho, I'm just asking, maybe if there's anyway we could include just a tiny little bit of a
summary, or the whole god-damn freaking text, or something.

The feeds I see go both ways. Some sites have really suck feeds (Fark sucks). Others are
beautiful, like BoingBoing. Text, links, graphics.

I know. I am such a

whiney

little

bitch.

I'll STFU and piss off now.

Unworthy,
M

Be forewarned. I am the destroyer of worlds. Says so on my business cards.

True. And our RSS feed supports that feature via the description tag. However,
the one-sentence lines that are provided with the current items is scarcely enough
for the subject line. Just mentioning the name of the affected organization in the
Dataloss RSS feed ain't gonna do it. Ditto for the Attrition news feed.

Thus, what we have now on the RSS feed is about what we're gonna have until lyger,
you, or one of our sex slaves gets ambitious and starts writing up summaries for each entry.

Okay, who wants to beat martums' ass flat? I'm too tired to give a proper thrashing right now.

Can it be automated in any way? I don't know shit about RSS, just
wondering how the other guys solutions work, and whether we can
duplicate any of their methods. (I'm not at all knocking what we have,
no way dude).

If you guys want, I will totally be the RSS summary-writing ass monkey

It hurts, but it's a good pain.
P.S. My line prefix beat up your honor student.

We also refrain from using the sore, prison-gang-banged ass "(_*_)" for attribution.
