- Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian farmer early Tuesday when they opened fire following an explosion at the Dugit Jewish settlement in the northern Gaza Strip, hospital officials and witnesses said. Sabri Awad Hader, 52, who was working his land near Dugit died after he was shot by Israeli soldiers, hospital officials said. Witnesses said the soldiers opened fire in the direction of the farmers after an early morning explosion at Dugit. Witnesses said there were other injuries in the incident. His death brings to 328 the
number of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli occupation
army since the Intifada (uprising) against Israeli occupation of the
Palestinian territories, started September 28. |
