HE joint stock company, CHIMET Spa was established in an independent business concern in 1975. Its origins, however, are closely linked to the activities of GORI E ZUCCHI S.p.a, today known as UNO A ERRE world leader in the manufacture of gold and silverware. Invaluable experience accumulated over the previous 50 years as the refining and recovery division of a large gold manufacturing firm has been exploited and enhanced by CHIMET Spa first by taking advantage of the substantial presence of gold firms in Arezzo and later by broadening its horizons to other companies using precious metals.

Today, CHIMET Spa is the largest business operation in Italy dealing with the refining and recovery of precious metals and one of the most important in the production and distribution of precious metals and their compouns and intermediate products.
