SRINAGAR, July 1: Nineteen people including nine Indian security force personnel were wounded in different outbreaks of violence in occupied Jammu and Kashmir's main city of Srinagar on Saturday, police and witnesses said. "Ten persons including five Indian security force personnel were injured when a landmine planted in a hand-cart went off at Boulevard road. At the time of explosion, a security force convoy was on its way," a police official said. Boulevard road lies on the bank of the famous Dal lake in occupied Srinagar. The explosion also partly damaged half a dozen vehicles and window panes of a nearby hotel, witnesses said. In another incident, three Indian paramilitary personnel were wounded when freedom fighters fired three grenades at a paramilitary camp in Karan-nagar area, police said. Elsewhere, five pedestrians and a security force member were wounded when suspected separatists lobbed a grenade towards a security patrol at Rajouri Kadal area, police said. On Friday, five people including an Indian army captain and four Kashmiri fighters were killed in gunbattles across Kashmir Valley.-Reuters
