The Goal of the International Project is to conduct space science research through international collaborations on international physics and astronomy projects. Keeping consistent with the Agency's Strategic Plan, the International Project is designed to provide international project's with high quality space science investigations and/or other agreed project support elements. The International Project will utilize innovative, streamlined, and efficient management approaches in these efforts. It seeks to substantially reduce the cost of NASA contributions to international project's as well as to improve performance through the use of new technology. Finally, it seeks to enhance public awareness of, and appreciation's for, space science and to incorporate educational and public activities in concert with international partners. The current assigned international projects are: ASTRO-E, partner Japan, XMM, INTEGRAL and CLUSTER II, partner European Space Agency, SAC-A and SAC-C, partner Argentina, HETE 2, partner U.S./MIT, EQUATOR-S partner Germany and SXG partner Russia.
