the Georgia Secretary of State’s office we are committed to making this the most
customer-friendly agency in state government.
The Secretary of State is one of Georgia's oldest Constitutional offices. Our
responsibilities are diverse, and range from administering the state's election laws to
registering corporations to investigating charities and telemarketing fraud.
Our work touches millions of Georgians each year. At this site you can search for a
corporate name, check on a dentist's record, download an application for a CPA's license
or interact with us in scores of different ways that once required a phone call, a letter
or a personal visit.
